Mathematical and modelling engineering

Objectives

The considerable increase in the power of computers and super-computers has led to a decrease in calculation costs making digital simulation, which now completes or replaces the classical experimental approach, competitive. This is particularly true for complex systems and high-technology products and is attractive for the aerospace industry, well represented in Toulouse, or other sectors such as the finance sector and telecommunications.

The Department of Mathematical Engineering trains engineers who are able to model real situations and assist users with models and mathematical methods.

 

For this, the course includes:

  • a vast culture in applied mathematics,
  • extensive skills in computing, a solid training in engineering sciences,
  • a sound knowledge of management techniques.
