Structural requalification

Objectives

At the end of this module, the student will have understood and be able to explain (main concepts):

The global engineering approach for requalifying an existing structure.

In particular, the student can explain:

The different causes leading to structural requalification: materials and structures pathology, evolution of structural loading.

Requalification-oriented information: analysis of available data, geometrical, mechanical and physico-chemical investigations.

The proper mechanical purposes relative to requalification of an old structure.

The student will be able to:

Implement a complete engineering approach for requalifying an existing structure.

Form of assessment

The evaluation of outcome prior learning is made as a continuous training during the semester. According ot the teaching, the assessment will be different: as a written exam, an oral exam, a record, a written report, peers review...
