Students are taught oral skills commenting on everyday news items taken from news reports, documentaries, interviews and other similar sources.

- reading comprehension practice (press articles)

- taking part in an interview and conducting an interview

Main difficulties for students :Lack of practice in oral understanding of the foreign language.


At the end of this module, the student should be able to understand oral documents in everyday English, their informative facts as well as the narrator's viewpoint. (B2).

The student should with a minimum of assurance be able to summarize factual information on everyday subjects  or specialised ones in his field and proffer an opinion, in grammatically accurate English. (B2)

The student should master the basic linguistic requirements to carry out a conversation in a social and professional context.(B2)




Module LV2

The objective is to acquire strategies and tools in reading comprehension and in oral and written expression

- develop reading techniques

- develop an analytical and synthetical mind

- learn to organise and convey information efficiently

- learn to speak in public

- revise and consolidate linguistic tools in order to improve communication in everyday life, at university or in teh workplace

- get familiar with the cultural, political, economic and social contexts of the country

Form of assessment

The evaluation of outcome prior learning is made as a continuous training during the semester. According ot the teaching, the assessment will be different: as a written exam, an oral exam, a record, a written report, peers review...
