At the end of this module, the student will have understood and be able to explain (main concepts) :
To know and understand subjections and risks related to the nature of the formations for the various branches ot the civil engineering.
To acquire fundamental knowledge concerning the physical, hydro dynamical and mechnical properties of soils.
The student will be able to :
- to identify grounds and materials for their exploitation
- to carry out a simple study of soil mechanics behaviour (consolidation, compressibility, shear strength, constraint and deformation under load)
- to analyze an underground hydraulic flaw (forces of flow, folding back).
Form of assessment
The evaluation of outcome prior learning is made as a continuous training during the semester. According ot the teaching, the assessment will be different: as a written exam, an oral exam, a record, a written report, peers review...
