At the end of this module, the student will have understood and be able to explain
(main concepts):
solve ordinary differential equations, theoretically for simple equations, numerically for equations from Physics
identify and classify partial differential equations, solve them theoretically using separation of variables and solve them numerically using the finite difference method.
For the project/assignment: pair-work, independence, applying theory to practice. Numerical calculations will be done with MATLAB.

1st year Mathematics
2nd year Numerical Analysis (1st semester)
2nd year Mathematics and Mechanics (1st semester)

Form of assessment

The evaluation of outcome prior learning is made as a continuous training during the semester. According ot the teaching, the assessment will be different: as a written exam, an oral exam, a record, a written report, peers review...
