Reinforced and prestressed concrete
At the end of this module, the student will have understood and be able to explain (main concepts):
Principles of safety and design defined by Eurocode 2: mechanical behaviour, limit
states design of reinforced and prestressed concrete structures (SLS and ULS)
under tension or compression loads, or bending moment.
The student will be able to:
Calculate beam sections, determine longitudinal and shear reinforcements or
prestressing tendons, explain building steps, verify EC2 requirements.

The evaluation of outcome prior learning is made as a continuous training during the semester. According ot the teaching, the assessment will be different: as a written exam, an oral exam, a record, a written report, peers review...
