Study of systems
Objectives
At the end of this module, the student will have understood and be able to explain (main concepts):
Algorithmic:
The concept of an array, matrix, how to navigate through them, and combine them with record types to build complex data structures.
Industrial Engineering:
The interaction between: Industrial Engineering, Sciences, System in the life cycle of an industrial product.
The student will be able to:
Algorithmic:
Given an algorithmic problem, design a data structure suitable for it and code the solution in Ada.
Industrial Engineering:
- Project of CAM (Computer-aided manufacturing)
The main objective is to use the numerical chain, to design and realize a part or a small mechanical system.
- Module Friction and Assemblies
- Extend his (her) technological culture in mechanics, by analyzing conventional components,
- Conduct tests and compare them to a calculation model.
- Module ASM (AMS) (Analysis of the Mechanical Systems)
Describe the functions of transmission and transformation of movements.
Programme (detailed contents):
Algorithmic:
- Array, matrix
- Mixed data structures
- Classical algorithms on these structures (find min, max element, compute average value, find an element satisfying a predicate).
Industrial Engineering:

Organisation:
The learning is made in the form of :
- introductory course,$
- tutorials in group
- lab works in subgroup,
- mini-projects,
Needed prerequisite
Basic principles acquired in the first semester of the first year: logic, binary relations, combinational analysis, functions, differential equations, algorithms, Industrial Techniques(I1ANMT11, I1ANIF11, I1ANTI11).
Form of assessment
The evaluation of outcome prior learning is made as a continuous training during the semester. According ot the teaching, the assessment will be different: as a written exam, an oral exam, a record, a written report, peers review...
