Numerical schemes

Objectives

At the end of this module, the student will have understood and be able to explain (main concepts) :
- Weak formulations of PDEs models
- Conservative formulation
- Discretization method for EDP models on unstructured meshes
- Advantages and drawbacks of FV and EF methods
The student will be able to:
- Discretize a model of PDEs
- Implement a FV or EF numerical scheme
- Quantify its accuracy, rate of convergence

-          Mathematical analysis, PDEs models
-          Mechanics of continuous media
-          Numerical analysis, optimization

Form of assessment

The evaluation of outcome prior learning is made as a continuous training during the semester. According ot the teaching, the assessment will be different: as a written exam, an oral exam, a record, a written report, peers review...
