Modeling of subsonic and supersonic compressible fluid flows / understanding the particular behavior of microflows and being aware of the various and novel applications of microfluidics in every industrial field.
Understanding of the technological processes of the nuclear industry (J Bernard) / Training sessions on CFD code FLUENT to better understand transfer phenomena of heat and momentum, in complex problems (S Geoffroy).
This course is an introduction to the rotodynamic machines that exchange energy with a fluid. A student may be able to choice and dimension a turbomachine from a schedule of conditions.

Needed prerequisite

Fluid mechanics or equivalent - Thermodynamics or equivalent
Thermical, hydraulic / Numerical analysis Fluid mechanics and turbulence, heat transfer, Basic knowledge of Fluent and Gambit.

Form of assessment

The evaluation of outcome prior learning is made as a continuous training during the semester. According ot the teaching, the assessment will be different: as a written exam, an oral exam, a record, a written report, peers review...
