Objectives

Module 1 : Vibrations of industrial structures
Theoretical knowledge about vibrations of mechanical systems with lumped parameters, and with distributed parameters along 1 or 2 dimensions (beams and plates).
Basic concepts in signal processing.
 
Module 2 : Non destructive testing (NDT)
2nd and 3rd years lessons or equivalent : Physical basis in electricity, optics, atomic structure.

Needed prerequisite


Module 1 : Vibrations of industrial structuresApply the theory of vibrations to practical industrial cases ; understand and use the main experimental techniques.
 
 
Module 2 : Non destructive testing (NDT)
14h + 1h25 Exam = 15h25 /student
To know the main non destructive testing methods with advantages/drawbacks used in various manufacturing centers. The student may be able to choose an appropriate method to settle an industrial matter.
 
Module 3 : Surface treatments and coatings

Give to the students an insight into the different ways able to improve the functional properties of the material surface

Form of assessment

The evaluation of outcome prior learning is made as a continuous training during the semester. According ot the teaching, the assessment will be different: as a written exam, an oral exam, a record, a written report, peers review...
