Objectives

The teaching and research of the Department of Civil Engineering focus on the sciences of public works. Graduates work in the following sectors :

  • building (structures, equipment…)
  • public works (bridges, roads, banking…)
  • town planning (roads, drainage…).

The department also trains researchers for public laboratories (Universities, CEA…) or private companies (Lafarge, EDF…).

The yearly intake is 60-70 students and 15 continuing education students.

Note

Thanks to a partnership with the Toulouse School of Architecture (Ecole d'Architecture de Toulouse) INSA engineering students may follow an optional course in architecture from Year 3 and obtain a diploma in architecture (DPLG). This possibility is only available to students who enter

Building and civil engineering works, Building services engineering
