Accomodation for Exchange Students

Our accommodation facilities are limited.

Applications are dealt with on a ‘first-come, first-served’ basis by the D.R.I.
Different types of residences are available in or near the INSA campus, depending on the available number of rooms. Students are in all cases responsible for the cleaning of their own room and communal rooms.
You have to choose your accommodation by filling the application file (see step 1)
2 possibilities :

  • Residences R2 to R8 administered by  Promologis (studio only)
  • University residence administered by the CROUS (under certain conditions) or residence 1 INSA

La réservation des logements à Promologis ou au CROUS pour les étudiants en échange se fait obligatoirement par l'intermédiaire de la DRI. / The booking of the accommodation in Promologis or CROUS residence for exchange students is only made by the DRI.

 

Residence 1 INSA :

This residence 1 is on the INSA campus : room of 11 m2 with shower and sink, price: approximately 180 euros


Note about Housing Grant "ALS" and "APL"

The ALS (Allocation Logement Social) and the APL (Aide Personnalisée au Logement) are French state housing benefits available to all students. They are managed by the CAF (Caisse d'Allocations Familiales).
To apply,  you must collect the application form from the Welfare Officer or from Promologis. Other documents required:

  • a birth certificate translated into French by an Embassy approved translator for non EEA students
  • a photocopy of the INSA student card or registration certificate
  • a photocopy of your residence permit
  • 2 bank account certificates identité bancaire issued by your bank in France
  • a medical insurance certificate.

If you have a room in the CROUS residence, you must complete the ALS application yourself but the Welfare officer will help you out.
If you rent from Promologis, the Promologis staff will take charge of your APL application.
Important : 3 months are required to process your applications for the ALS and APL. The CAF pays these benefits from the 1st of the month following the issue of your residence permit. Be prepared to pay the first 2 months rent in full and to advance the following month.
