An international strategy

International relations are one of the key components of a higher education institution’s position and strategy. It is even more accurate for an Engineering Grande Ecole such as INSA Toulouse.

Globalization and fast growing scientific and technological advances make our engineers to show a great force of adaptability. This flexibility is acquired during their training in France at INSA Toulouse and abroad, when they leave for a study mobility in one of our partner universities or during an internship. These mobilities must be linked to research and industry.

INSA Toulouse attaches importance to fostering international relations, ensuring consistency between research and the curriculum. This is the reason why over 30 persons (teachers-researchers and administrative staff) are taking part in the international relations at INSA Toulouse: each department of pre-specialization and specialization has International Relations coordinators; representatives, international programme coordinators, the International Relations Office staff, etc. are especially here to help and guide foreign students.

Since 2006, all students must spend at least 12 weeks abroad. They can choose to study in one of our partner institution or do an internship. This policy allowed the school to develop a lot of bilateral agreements (over 140) in Europe and all over the world, through direct agreements or in association with the Université Fédérale Toulouse Midi-Pyrénées or the INSA Group.
