The objectives of this course are to become aware of the environmental impacts of mechanical design projects or urban and civil engineering. On this basis, the problem will be applied either
In the field of Mechanical Engineering
In the field of Civil Engineering
Students must choose one of two fields of application and follow the entire course in this area

The student will be able to:
Analyse or define design requirements as a function of technical, economic and environmental aspects.
Apply ecodesign methodology (sustainable design)
Select the best material (concrete, wood, steel, composite materials, plastic…)
Design taking into account production, manufacturing constraints and tolerances.

Needed prerequisite

1st and 2nd year scientific and technical courses.

Form of assessment

The evaluation of outcome prior learning is made as a continuous training during the semester. According ot the teaching, the assessment will be different: as a written exam, an oral exam, a record, a written report, peers review...
