-       Conduction in unsteady state (finite difference method). Radiative heat exchanges inside enclosures (radiosity method);

-       dynamics of viscous fluids, pumps

-       transfer through porous media, diffusion, permeability and capillarity

Objectives

At the end of this module, the student will have understood and be able to explain (main concepts):

 

-       Thermal transfers in unsteady state and heat exchangers ;

-       Viscous fluid flows ;

-       Mass transfer through porous mdia

 

 

The student will be able to:

-       Realise varied balances of enclosure thermal transfers under real boundary conditions ;

-       Design an heat exchanger ;

-       Design flow networks with or without pumps

-       Express the different types of transfer occurring through  a porous system

Form of assessment

The evaluation of outcome prior learning is made as a continuous training during the semester. According ot the teaching, the assessment will be different: as a written exam, an oral exam, a record, a written report, peers review...
