for students

INSA Toulouse is committed to providing equal opportunities and guiding students to success. The institute aims to meet student needs by providing them with living conditions suitable for their personal development and success.

You will find below a non-exhaustive list of scholarships and support available to students in financial and material difficulty.

Merit scholarship

Description

The Merit scholarship is additional support offered to the most deserving CROUS scholarship students, who passed their baccalaureate with very high honors.

Amount

The scholarship amounts to €900 per year for 3 years. It is automatically disbursed.

Direct assistance from the INSA Toulouse Social Commission

Description

INSA Toulouse offers one-off financial assistance for social emergencies. This financial support is designed to help students in situations of great difficulty and in recurring or temporary precarious situations.

Amount

Financial assistance of up to €1,500 may be granted.

Student jobs

Description

INSA Toulouse offers a number of odd jobs (at Bib’INSA, university restaurant, sports hall, etc.) to scholarship students in financial difficulty.

Mobility scholarships

Description

Students can apply for various scholarships for incoming and outgoing mobility, both through INSA and third-party organizations.

“Welcome” scholarships – INSA Group Foundation

Description

The “Welcome” scholarship (bourse d’accueil) provides support for 1st-year engineering students who held a high school scholarship the previous year. It aims to help students get settled in Toulouse.

Amount

The scholarship amounts to €500.

Procedure

The Centre Gaston Berger contacts eligible students at the beginning of each academic year.

“Donner une chance” scholarships – INSA Toulouse Foundation

Description

The “Donner une chance” (Give a chance) scholarship constitutes financial support for engineering students facing recurring financial or material difficulties. All students enrolled in the engineering cycle are eligible.

Amount

The scholarship amount ranges from €500 to €2,000.

“Ingénieur &” Scholarships – INSA Toulouse Foundation

Description

The “Ingénieur &” (Engineer &) scholarships are intended for engineering students who are enrolled in the artistic sections (Music, Dance or Theater) or the S2E Section (for high-performance athletes).

“Coup de pouce entrepreneuriat” scholarships – INSA Toulouse Foundation

Description

The “Coup de pouce entrepreneuriat” (Entrepreneurship boost) scholarship supports entrepreneurship projects or companies created by students enrolled in the engineering cycle or PhD students enrolled at INSA Toulouse.

CROUS scholarships

Description

CROUS scholarships based on social criteria are intended for students in initial training under 28 years old who have limited resources. Should a significant change in circumstances occur involving a substantial loss of resources, the student file may be reassessed by the CROUS during the academic year.

Amount

In 2022–2023, the scholarship amount ranges from €1,084 to €5,965 per year, disbursed over 10 months.
For students from the French Overseas Departments and Regions, French Polynesia, or students named Ward of the Nation or orphans of both parents, the scholarship may be granted over 12 months with its amount ranging from €1,301 to €7,158 per year.

CROUS specific support

Description

CROUS specific support is a personalized financial support for students in difficulty. It can be granted to a student experiencing severe financial hardship.

Amount

Up to €2,597 may be granted.
