You can join INSA Toulouse in the 1st year (once you have obtained your baccalaureate / secondary school diploma) or mid-course (in the 2nd, 3rd or 4th years) depending on your qualifications and study pathways. You can also join INSA Toulouse as an apprentice (from the 3rd year onwards).

Join INSA

in the 4th year

The procedure to join directly in the 4th year is specific to each INSA. At INSA Toulouse, recruitment is open to holders of an L3 bachelor’s degree validated exclusively in France (excluding professional bachelor’s degrees) or holders of an M1 master’s degree (one year of a master’s program validated) or recognized equivalent (validated in France or abroad).

You hold an L3 bachelor’s degree validated exclusively in France or an M1 master’s degree or recognized equivalent (validated in France or abroad).

Tuition fees

at INSA Toulouse

Tuition fees for engineering students – French or EU students

2022-2023 rates

Tuition fees = €601 (updated on 17/June/2022)

Registration fees for master's degree – French or EU students

Differentiated tuition fees – Non-EU students

French law stipulates that non-EU students are subject to differentiated tuition fees.

The tuition fees Non-EU students are required to pay amount to:
• €2,770 per year for the 1st and 2nd years of the engineering curriculum
• €3,770 per year for the 3rd, 4th and 5th years of the engineering curriculum / 1st and 2nd years of a master’s program

Fees can be paid in 3 installments. The first payment is immediate and must be made during online registration.
Once registered, students may declare a specific social situation by filling in a form available at: https://srv-enquete.insa-toulouse.fr/SurveyServer/s/insa/droitsinscription/questionnaire.html

INSA’s social worker will only assess the social situations of registered students.

The following are not subject to differentiated tuition fees:
• Quebec nationals
• Students who were enrolled in a French higher education institution in 2018–2019
• Holders of a long-term residence permit
• Tax residents or members of a taxpaying household in France for more than two years
• Students with refugee status or under subsidiary protection (or children of holders of such statuses)
Students in these situations pay the national tuition fees:
• €601 per year for the 1st to 5th years of the engineering curriculum
• €243 per year for the 1st and 2nd years of a master’s program

Non-EU students in the following situations are subject to but partially exempt from tuition fees:
New INSA students (2023–2024 Academic Year) from exempted countries
List of countries exempted from differentiated fees (2023–2024 Academic Year)
The tuition fees to be paid correspond to national tuition fees ONLY for the first year of registration. For the following years, students will be subject to tuition fees in accordance with their profile.

Non-EU students in the following situations are subject to but fully exempt from tuition fees:
• French government scholarship holders or equivalent

Please note: The specific fees for international programs apply only to the first year of study at INSA Toulouse. From the second year onwards, students are subject to tuition fees in accordance with their status. Non-EU students must therefore pay the aforementioned differentiated tuition fees.
