The SAIC

The Industrial and Commercial Activities Department (SAIC) is in charge of all the administrative, legal and financial tasks aimed at securing the storage and use of scientific and educational content.

The SAIC is a key partner for the success of your research and teaching projects, overseeing the preparation and negotiation of contracts, justifying projects, and promoting the value of research results.
SAIC experts ensure the implementation and monitoring of its three pillars (“Setup, Execution, Promotion”), enabling you to fully devote yourself to science. Through their proven expertise, they also provide your projects with the added value that is essential to their fulfillment.

“Partner Research”: Industrial Research

The SAIC at INSA Toulouse provides financial expertise and legal support throughout the preparation of a project, thus safeguarding the interests of teachers, researchers and the institution wherever possible.

The main goal of the service is to negotiate all types of project contracts with public and private partners, including collaboration agreements, consortium agreements, confidentiality agreements (NDAs), material transfer agreements (MTAs), hosting agreements, framework agreements, joint laboratory agreements, etc.

To ensure its success, INSA Toulouse signed an agreement with its subsidiary INSAVALOR in November 2019, under which the school’s research contracts with industrial partners are implemented, signed and managed by CAPIT’ol (capitol-contrats@insa-toulouse.fr).

The SAIC at INSA Toulouse is also involved in awareness-raising activities for researchers and teacher-researchers on the importance of partnerships and promotion of research.

Since 2012, the promotion of research has been undertaken in partnership with the SATT Toulouse Tech Transfer (TTT), whose primary goal is to accelerate the transfer of public research to industrial partners.
