INSA Toulouse committed to excellence in human resources management for research

Since 2018, INSA Toulouse has held the European “HR Excellence in Research” award granted by the European Commission.

This distinction recognises institutions that implement an ambitious human resources strategy for researchers, based on the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.

Through this commitment, INSA Toulouse strives to provide an attractive, fair and supportive working environment that fosters the development of research careers.

A European initiative supporting research

The HR Excellence in Research award promotes:

• open, transparent and merit-based recruitment practices (OTM-R),
• working conditions that support well-being and professional development,
• equal opportunities and diversity,
• research ethics and integrity,
• career development and support for research staff.

This initiative is based on a process of continuous improvement, relying on the regular assessment of institutional practices and the implementation of concrete actions.

Since obtaining the award, INSA Toulouse has implemented a structured Action Plan aimed at enhancing the attractiveness of research careers and improving the experience of researchers, academic staff and research support personnel.

Key areas of action include:

• promoting equality, diversity and inclusion,
• improving working conditions,
• disseminating good practices in research ethics and scientific integrity.

This initiative is carried out in close collaboration with the research community and is regularly monitored and evaluated.
